"Deadlines"

Study skills in the coming week is vital.
Due dates on class on top of the other. Managing my time well which I need to do is pretty important. To prioritized each work that I have on my sleeve by making a to do list and putting important dates specifically due dates, quizzes and presentations for my other class.

The reading strategies I will use is probably highlighting. Highlighting the key terms and important ideas to better understand what the context is trying to convey.
Annotations is very helpful in a way of pointing you in the right direction of what to review. It's like a summary of each paragraph. Some parts of SQ3R to better understand the idea of what you're reading. Learning it in a more deeper level of understanding it.On my English class, theres like an essay paper due. Knowing what the topic is about and finding it in the title helps you in understanding what it is to talk about. Finding the information to support it and associating it with your own ideas. For my math class listing different formulas will help on the up coming test I have.

Strategies for Reading and Studying

Studying skills is very important in learning. It includes time management and balancing study, work and personal life as well. By making a to do list helps a student including myself to make the necessary priorities. Also, keeping a calendar is useful as well. Focus and concentration is vital as well in studying difficult lesson. Reading in advance is effective especially in subjects that requires a lot of reading. Looking over the text ahead of time gives you an extra understanding of whats coming ahead. It will be easier to understand especially when you familiarize yourself. Do not procrastinate because it's a bad habit to aquire. Waiting until the last minute to do a task: reviewing for a test, doing a project will only makes things difficult and less effective.

Reading strategies can be of many form: SQ3R, Anotations, Outlining, summarization and highlighting. But the three most strategies I use are highlighting, anotations(marginal and symbols) and SQ#R. Highlighting is very effective and easy as long as you highlight it well. Highlighting just the right amount is helpful to not overwhelm
when reviewing. It gives you the most important ideas in the text. Looking for the main idea and information to support the topic. Terms and definition helps when studying and giving an overall understanding of what you are learning. Marginal annotation and the anotational symbols are useful in complex subject such as medical courses. It's very useful to actually right in the text of having an easy accesss when reviewing. Writing the information that stands out: summary, names and dates and complex process are some of these. Annotational symbols important when looking over what you just read. Identifying the key points by simply jotting down symbols in association of what is important. It leads you in a sort of direction towards the terms or information that needs to be studied. Lastly, the SQ3R which is a tedious task by very effective in my opinion. S-survey,Q-question,3R's stands for reading, recite and review. For example, reading and studying a psychology text in general is complex and abstract, which includes psychological processes for instance. SQ3R comes handy to get a better understanding of it. It is important to remember to have a strategy which will work better for you.
